It is with pleasure that I can supply a testimonial for the “mep BLITz electro-polisher”. The mep BLITz electro-polisher is the best method I have seen for the removal of the high temperature oxide produced as a result of arc welding stainless steel. Not only is it safe, it is also a rapid and convenient providing the stainless steel fabrication industry a vastly superior alternative to the traditional pickling and passivation methods or the mechanical removal by linishing. Traditional pickling pastes utilize Hydrofluoric Acid which is a particularly hazardous material requiring rigorous adherence to OH&S procedures in its application and subsequent disposal. Mechanical Linishing is a time consuming and laborious activity. The mep BLITz electro-polisher has potential to revolutionize the cleaning of stainless steel which could well result in tremendous cost savings and environmental benefits across the whole stainless steel industry.

Queensland Nitrate Plant

On the blitz machine we have found that the Blitz has allowed us to clean up our stainless steel welds without the previous issues we had to go thru i.e special permits to allow pickling paste and MSDS to cover use and disposal of contaminated waste

It has also proved to be a faster technique for pickling welds.

We have now been able to wash down the pickled areas and neutralise with lime based products, this controls the ground PH.

We have found that the Blitz machine has been suitable for some of the smaller applications that previously caused us issues such as pickling paste residue on the piping and equipment below and surrounding the areas we needed to clean.We would recommend this unit to others to use on piping in chemical plants where there can be issues with the compounds utilised in pickling pastes.
